Following six months in the Metaverse realm with a virtual restaurant, Asian street food giant, Wow Bao, is devouring new Web3 initiatives, transforming its point-based rewards program into an NFT-backed loyalty system.

Wow Bao’s latest Web3 venture allows its food fans to purchase unique non-fungible collectibles dubbed ‘CollectaBaos’. Whipped up by the NFT artist ManoverMars (MoM), these digital assets are available to mint for $99 for the first year. Purchasers gain membership to Wow Boa’s freshly minted loyalty initiative, which offers 10% discount privileges, free meals and merchandise. 

Wow Bao’s NFT Loyalty Program Whips Up a Recipe for Success

The launch of this forward-thinking NFT club is a result of Wow Bao’s recent partnership with the Web3 ordering partner, Devour, selling the assets on its marketplace, DevourGO. Furthermore, the NFTs integrated into the rewards system are powered by Paytronix. This world-class software-providing company enhances customer experience on-chain for retail brands and convenience stores alike. 

Wow Bao’s NFT mints, dubbed “courses”, will continue adding perks to the mix. Expect future offerings to open up special events, cooking classes, personal encounters with Wow Bao’s CEO, Geoff Alexander, early access to original (and delicious) bun flavors, and more. 

Moreover, the company aims to continue steering clear of the terms ‘Web3’ and ‘NFT’ to attract a wider audience. For this reason, the buzzwords are not used in customer-facing communications, and a crypto wallet is not necessary for purchasing a CollectaBao. 

This NFT loyalty programme represents an exciting milestone for Wow Bao and sets a paradigm for the restaurant industry in this digital era, similar to Starbucks Odyssey but different.
