Welcome back to another game review. Today we will review Spells of Genesis (SoG), the first mobile blockchain game ever created.
Spells of Genesis Review: A Few Words About The Game
Spells of Genesis dates back to 2017 when EverdreamSoft released SoG as the first mobile game using blockchain assets. By combining trading card game functionalities and point-and-shoot aspects of arcade games, SoG offers a plethora of fun and rewarding gameplay mechanisms.
Spells of Genesis Review: How to Earn
The trading card game (TCG) offers its users many ways to earn revenue, which are:
- Play Raid (PvP)
- Play Campaigns (PvE)
- Challenge Mode.
- Quest Completion.
Spells of Genesis Review: Gameplay
The gameplay of SoG requires a good and steady aim together with strategic skills.
Players start their journey in the Askian Valley with four cards = deck/team. Each card has different characteristics (life, speed, power, etc.) and a special ability called the “spell.”
Aim with your finger and tap the screen to shoot, seeking to eliminate enemies as quickly as possible before hitting back at you!
Earn Rewards by Doing so!
Spells of Genesis Review: Game Modes
In Spells of Genesis, users can experience three unique game modes, which we will explain below:
Campaigns (PvE): With 30 campaigns and over 700 levels, this mode will offer an exciting PvE experience. There you progress in levels slowly and receive gold for each successfully completed level and also points for the leaderboard.
When completing a star, users get a specific in-game card, so choose wisely the stars to finish.
Raid Mode (PvP): Get matched with a player from the same PvP rank as you and fight in a randomly generated level filled with the other player’s card as enemies.
Playing this mode will gather you points for the leaderboard and reward you with gold.
Challenge Mode: Imagine you can play an infinite survival mode. Survive as long as possible while clearing randomly generated waves.
Progressing in challenge mode rewards you with gold!
Spells of Genesis Review: Blockchainization
Blockchainization is the process of transforming NFT in-game cards into tradable blockchain assets.
In order for a card to be blockchainized and transferred to First Oasis, it must be first upgraded to the highest evolution. First Oasis is the name given to the Klaytn-based custodian wallet solution, allowing to make a bridge between different blockchains and between the game and your wallet.
Spells of Genesis Review: Final Thoughts
Spells of Genesis is best known for being the OG and the first-ever created game with blockchain features. The gameplay is very simple, and everyone can play right away just by creating an Ethereum-based wallet. Have fun doing so, and thanks for reading Spells of Genesis Review!
